The Missouri Independent & Private Schools Education Technology Center MIPS-ET is a service organization developed by PAL Services Inc. and Practical Concepts Consulting, L.L.C. whose sole purpose is to support Missouri's non-public schools through the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program. MIPS-ET’s mission is to provide personal, top notch services to the Missouri non-public chools eligible to receive EETT funding. The purpose of the EETT program is to improve student achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. Additional goals include helping all students become technologically literate by the end of the eighth grade and, through the integration of technology with both teacher training and curriculum development, establishing research-based instructional methods that can be widely implemented. Local activities include the support of continuing, sustained professional development programs and public-private partnerships. Activities also include: the use of new or existing technologies to improve academic achievement; the acquisition of curricula that integrate technology and are designed to meet challenging state academic standards; the use of technology to increase parent involvement in schools; and the use of technology to collect, manage, and analyze data to enhance teaching and school improvement. The PAL/PCC Team, through MIPS-ET, will have a technical representative available at all times to respond to questions, problems, and the needs of Missouri’s non-public schools. We understand that personal attention and assistance is paramount to the success of a school that is developing and implementing a new program, especially when incorporating new or unfamiliar technology along with moving from a totally traditional classroom to one that may include newer teaching concepts. Without sacrificing quality and servics, The PAL/PCC Team will seek the best value for the contracted school as well as provide continual support to the non-public schools throughout the term of their grant and beyond.
